Other Behaviour & Training Support

There are other ways I can help and support you and your dog.

Rescue & Rehomed Dogs

These dogs usually come with some emotional baggage and so setting them off to a good start in their new home is really important.

Rescue & Rehomed Dogs

Well, you have decided to give a dog a new home. It can be hard settling into a new routine with new people. You are going to do a great job but being prepared is key.

Pre arrival & first week

The rehoming centre should offer you support but if not, a 90 minute initial consult and home visit can help with any initial queries and address your specific issues. The fee is £75

Early days

A package of 3 x 1 hour personalised sessions to get things on the right path and address any initial concerns or issues. The fee is £150.

The Powerful World of Scent

A dog’s nose is incredibly powerful, about 10,000 to 100,000 times more sensitive than a human’s!

It is not surprising then that dogs are used widely across the world to search for drugs, bombs, firearms, contraband, missing people and human remains. Dogs are now even being used for medical alert and detection, detecting cancer cells and Covid in humans!

SUITABLE FOR ALL DOGS

Our special training activities are designed for ALL dogs, whether they are slightly unsociable, energetic, elderly, young or perhaps a breed you may not associate with scent work.

THE BENEFITS

There are so many! Did you know that just 10 minutes of scent work can be the equivalent of up to an hour-long run. Imagine how beneficial that can be for a high energy dog.

what does it involve?

Practical scent activities designed to be fun including games and real environment challenges.

taster sessions & courses

Taster sessions and short courses are a really fun bonding activity to do with your dog.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but Lucy recommended her Scent Detection Workshop for my reactive dog and we went along. Well, not only was it a really enjoyable day doing car searches, Margie slept for hours after. Whenever she is over aroused now we can do some scent activities and it helps her to settle a bit.”
